SEO 2016-01-09

As our intrepid explorer enters the ancient tunnel, he hears a low teeth-grinding sound in the darkness ahead...

A bit creepy, isn't it?

Isn't it terrifyingly spooky when you know you need to go forwards, but you don't know what's down there?

What if something goes wrong? Or more specifically, what if you put all this time and money into the blog, and nothing happens?

This is known as the "Throwing-a-party-and-nobody-came" monstrosity, and is soul crushingly soul crushing.

As I "revealed" in the funnels article, this year I am developing a simple turnkey system that helps people to find me so that I can help them massively, and as an extremely imbalanced exchange for the massive benefit to them, I get a delightful amount of money and we both feel wealthier for the exchange.

If you follow through the steps listed here, you'll know what people want before they do, the best article oer-derves and lead magnet entrees and webinar second entrees and email third entrees and tripwire first visit yummy part of mains and core offer mains and profit maximizer repeat business desert and referral second deserts.

You'll also know how to do the SEO so that Google will send out the invites for you automatically, consistently, for months to come.

This will give you authority in your local area, many more patients, many more of the BEST patients who already know the answers to the awkward questions and so are sorted out on that front, who are happy and able to afford to fix the injury properly so return for the FULL treatment course, and are keen to tell their friends about you. All this adds up to a heap more cash for you.

All without being "salesy" because you're giving them and helping them with what they're asking you for. (People are begging to come to the party rather than vice versa).

Well, if you would love to get all this, you can follow the steps I've already done. Walk in my footprints, and reap the same rewards as I've got, without the pain.

Or don't. It's up to you, really.

How to do Market Research, Evaluate Best Stuff and Figure Out This SEO Beast

Well, I could do a step by step guide here... but I aint gonna.

Instead, you'll see my number crunching according to a number of guides, and notes that I'll be applying to my website.

You'll also be getting over the next few weeks the outcomes and results of applying these techniques, with timelines and volumes.

So why SEO and not FB or something else?

I've selected SEO because...
  • It's free - and that's in line with the theme of free hosting, free webpages, free optin mechanics, free autoresponder (still building), free webinar (still building).
  • It lasts longer I hope! I had started with FB advertising but that costs money, yet good cos is turnkey-able, instant feedback, very popular so lots of guides.
  • Tons of information gathering - the process of getting keywords and stuff let's me find out what people actually want rather than what I think they want.
  • Authority - I'm hoping to get a little respectability and fame and stuff, and being top of Google is a good way to achieve this.
  • I'm sticking my head up - which takes a little courage, but will need to contact authority sites to get backlinks later.
  • It avoids Universities and stuff - I get further fame without going the whole "pay $10,000 for a masters that may have limited use" route.

Guides

So the guides I've selected are
  • Digital Marketing Labs Execution Plan - Market research

  • The Advanced SEO webinar from hubspot

Health and safety warning: Neil Patel is so good, he will suck you into tangents you would not believe. Get a guide and stick to it before you follow a link, look at a webinar, enter your email or donate a cerebral hemisphere. He is great, the tangents are awesome, it's good to enter your email, but you'll get nothing done.

I'm doing the guides in the order above, but will mix the results of the guides so the findings are actually clear. ' Before I begin, what I'm hoping for are...
  • Offers

Overview

The order I'm planning on doing things are...
  • DMLabs Research EP (have to pay for it so wait for $1 trial membership to DM labs - they really good)
  • Hubspot Advanced SEO webinar - http://offers.hubspot.com/thank-you/dejan-advanced-seo-webinar
  • SEO Moz Beginners Guide (Neil Patel recommends here) - https://moz.com/beginners-guide-to-seo

My Thoughts

top ` Here's some of my ideas...
  • Had a look at adwords and found in christchurch physiotherapy = about 270 clicks/mth, chiro about 350, sciatica about 350, arthritis about 500 and fibromyalgia 700.
  • I can't remember the sequence that I found that in.
  • But suggests that more fertile ground in problem phase than solution phase.
  • Google adwords, into Your Products or services entered...
  • "arthritis, fibromyalgia, painful, sore, tendonitis, pain, injured, sciatica, injury"
  • in keywords, look down to keyword (by relevance) then every time got good word, added to keywords again and again as thought up new word, then hit "get ideas", then look at keyword ideas tab.
  • Eventually get...
  • arthritis, fibromyalgia, painful, sore, tendonitis, sciatic nerve, pain, neck pain, injured, sciatica, acc, osteoarthritis, injury, bursitis, accident, chiropractor, physiotherapist, tennis elbow, archilles, backache, sciatic, chiropractic, physiotherapy, lower back pain, back pain, trochanteric bursitis, fibromyalgia symptoms
  • and hone down to CHCH, get ACC 2400(!) clicks / mth, fibromyalgia 720, arthritis 480, sciatica 480, chiropractor 390, osteoarthritis 320, lower back pain 260, physiotherapy 260, tennis elbow 260
  • So looking at this, the temptation is to go for an ACC article/LM (1 page quiz/cheat sheet) then to get and give details about the injury.
  • https://www.seoprofiler.com for getting backlinks to site. Need to beat ACC with a billion backlinks, or second down is http://info.ageconcerncan.org.nz/organisations/2
  • get backlinks and usefulness of backlinks Moz open site explorer: https://moz.com/researchtools/ose
  • ACC hard to defeat, stuff.co.nz hard, wiki hard
  • info.ageconcerncan.org.nz/organisations/2
  • Moz had no data for ageconcern
  • So used google search to find all links to that site that not from them : info.ageconcerncan.org.nz/organisations/2 -ageconcerncan.org.nz
  • 184 links, but which highest authority? Highest ranking? So lots of work to get ranked.

Patel Advanced Guide

top ` http://www.quicksprout.com/the-advanced-guide-to-seo-chapter-5/ ` XML scraping results - dont really want to, just jump straight into ubersuggest, then dump into adwords Also get long tail by using http://keywordtool.io/ ` Not sure if I want ACC - great lead in but where can I establish my expertise? ` Fibromyalgia, Arthritis can get backlink opportunities by scraping for good web URLs under topic ````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````

-Want SEO for front page top 5 of google. Search starts 93%=search engine x 68%=google x 37%=1st/60%=top3/67%=top5 rankings

-?so 1st position = approx 33% of clicks on adwords? ' -Off page is good for getting to page

-on page is good for reducing bounce which lowers SEO
